| As the summer approaches, Precision Transmission is excited to start implementing new sales strategies for growth. With the construction market cooling, we are shifting focus to developing new customers, specifically “end users”, who may not know that there is more than one outlet for parts and service. We have recently added a new sales position and the door is open for another one. Nick MacFarland will be interning throughout the summer working closely with our Sales Manager, Tom Homka, managing existing accounts and creating new ones.
There is a fresh feel to the newly renovated office at headquarters. As we changed the atmosphere in the office, we started looking at changing the way we practice our business. How do our customers perceive us? How do our vendors perceive us? How does the market perceive us? At times, facing the answers to these questions can be difficult. Ultimately, we must put our pride aside because in the end it is not about us, it is about our customers and what we have to do to better serve them. I recently heard the term, “Ideal State”, which in the business world, is where you are and where you would be with unlimited capital and unlimited material. Let’s say the “Zen” of business. The idea is to set a goal that is so high that it is unattainable. It may not make sense at first but you start working to achieve your “Ideal State”, chipping away one piece at a time. So what is our “Ideal State”? I can’t tell you, however, I have outlined a few things that we are looking at to get there.
Enjoy the summer!
